Co-pay is 3,000 yen Housing cost Tragedy and joy
March 25, 2023 The forecast for Saturday in the Kanto region is for rain and no sun throughout the day. The current temperature is 12 degrees Celsius, and the temperature is not expected to rise much higher.
On the 23rd, my wife attended our child’s graduation ceremony, the first time in three years that parents were invited to the ceremony, which was reported on local TV. A friend of my child’s informed me via LINE that it was on TV. It seems like no time has passed. It seems like only yesterday when I first entered the school. I remember February and March when I made arrangements online at Nitori, Bic Camera, etc. for home appliances and household goods for living alone. I remember the time in February and March when I made arrangements online with Nitori, Bic Camera, etc. I had to calculate the dimensions of a bed mat and a bed separately, and I don’t remember what kind of items I had to cancel, but I had to call them because I couldn’t cancel via the Internet (I had to find a pay phone in Nerima and call them because cell phones were expensive at that time).
I have many memories, but I was the one who had a hard time, and I have no way of knowing most of them. (I may have mentioned it a little, but I did not strongly convey this anguish.) I had a lot of experiences, such as signing my first private contract for a rental apartment. The apartment I signed a contract for cost quite a bit of money. When I signed the contract, I had to pay not only the deposit and key money, but also a one-time entrance fee of about 300,000 yen, and the contract renewal fee is more than 100,000 yen each time. The owner of the rental property may have to make a considerable initial investment, but he or she can make a good profit from the stable income from rent and renewal fees. I wonder if the owner of the rental apartment can make a good profit from the stable income from rent and renewal fees, although the initial investment is quite high.
Unfortunately, the contract of this rental apartment will continue for another two years (laugh). However, the goal is in sight. I have an estimate of how much more it will cost including living expenses, so I just have to do my best to keep paying it.
Since yesterday, my child and wife have been staying at a Hoshino Resort hotel in Aomori for a graduation trip.
This housing cost, but it is the most expensive cost in my life. (except for some minimalists and wealthy people)
Let’s assume, for example, that you worked for a company as a new graduate and your take-home pay was 180,000 yen. Assuming that the market price for living alone in a rental apartment in the Tokyo metropolitan area is about 80,000 yen, this puts pressure on about 45% of your take-home pay. The way to reduce this amount is to take advantage of the welfare benefits offered by major companies.
One of my child’s acquaintance got a job at a major company called 00HAM, and he lives in a rented apartment for about 60,000 yen and pays only 3,000 yen out of his own pocket. If his take-home pay is 180,000 yen, his housing cost will be reduced to about 2% of his salary. 45% to 2%!
The power of rented company housing is tremendous. Recently, there has been a lot of talk on TV about raising wages, but no one in the media has taken up the issue.
I think it would be good if there are companies that say, “We can’t raise wages, but we will increase take-home pay by introducing company-rented housing! Is it only me who thinks that it would be good if there are companies that say, “We can’t raise wages, but we will increase your take-home pay by introducing rental company housing! It would be beneficial to the company as well.
As I have told my children, I would like to tell young people to improve themselves so that they can join a company that offers such a full range of benefits (so that the company will choose them). Of course, if you have a clear idea of what you want to do, there is no need to be restricted by this.
For example, a big leaguer, doctor, lawyer, entertainer, etc.! There is a possibility that you can grab something big in the process of self-realization. When you are young, this is not the time to be obsessed with housing and benefits!
However, if you don’t have a clear idea of what you want to do, you can do what you can do now to improve yourself so that you can follow the big trends and be chosen by an organization with excellent benefits.
Wouldn’t it be better for society to have more options to put the housing costs (money) saved by benefits into other things?
